Valberg, France, experiences snowy winters that can make outdoor spaces hazardous.
The nursery Les Petits Poucets, managed by Valberg Townhall, needed a reliable solution to keep their outdoor areas accessible and safe, without relying on salt or mechanical snow removal.
The Solution
DEVI’s DEVIsnow™ heating mats were installed under the concrete, fixed securely on welded mesh. Three types of mats at 300 W/m² were paired with DEVIreg™ 850, DEVireg™ 316, and DEVIreg™ 330 thermostats to deliver precise, energy-efficient snow melting.
A special cold connection of 10 m width allowed flexible coverage of 50, 75, and 100 cm zones. Professional installer Jean Frederic completed the project in line with design office DET (Diffusion Electro Thermique) specifications.
The Result
The nursery now enjoys safe, clear, and maintenance-free outdoor areas, with no need for salt or mechanical cleaning. Children and staff can move freely and safely, regardless of winter conditions.
