In the heart of the Italian Alps, winter brings breathtaking scenery—but also snow, ice, and challenging access conditions.
In Val di Scalve (Bergamo, Italy), a private villa needed a reliable solution to ensure safe pedestrian access throughout the winter, without constant maintenance or manual snow removal.
That’s where DEVI snow and ice melting solutions proved their value.
The Challenge
Steep terrain, low temperatures, and frequent snowfall made the villa’s pedestrian walkway slippery and unsafe during winter. The homeowner required a solution that would operate automatically, be energy-efficient, and perform reliably in extreme weather conditions.
The Solution
The project was equipped with DEVIsafe™ 20T heating cables, installed along the pedestrian walkway to deliver consistent and effective snow and ice melting.
The system is controlled by a DEVIreg™ 850 controller with ground sensor, which automatically detects temperature and moisture—activating heating only when conditions require it. With a total system output of 12 kW, the solution ensures safety without unnecessary energy use.
Project partners included customer Barcella Elettroforniture S.p.A. and installer Elettroplanet di Pianeti Roland & C snc, guaranteeing professional execution and long-term reliability.
